The Heart Behind Camp Kids
Camp Kids grew out of a real classroom in Franklin, Tennessee, where educator and artist Debby Moore transformed her space into a full campsite — complete with characters, a treasure map, and an adventure that made young learners owners of their own learning.
What started as a creative teaching environment became something far bigger: a complete framework for social and emotional learning that moves young minds from literal to figurative thinking, from self-focused to community-minded, from reactive to emotionally equipped.
Every character Debby drew, every island she named, every workbook she designed carries the same conviction — that if you can captivate a child's soul, everything meaningful will stick and stay.
